Spider zapper – Bug zapper
I am no sadist. But some people are terrified by spiders, and a spider-exterminator is far cheaper than therapy.
Capture
A vacuum from a vacuum cleaner seems to be a good tool for spider capture.
Plus:
- Safe capture from a distance
- The spider don’t get it as a threat until it is too late (science needed to back up this claim)
Minus:
- The spider will keep living in the dustbag unless it is killed
Solution:
- A filter / net is installed in the suction path, to block the spider from going into the dustbag while it is a live
Kill
A high voltage circuit – Using a voltage multiplier – like a standard bug zapper seems to be a good way to kill the spider
